Carlspat aims to provide an environment where children are safe, respected, listened to and supported by adults who understand their responsibilities.
Safer practice
Staff recruitment, supervision, visitor management, reporting procedures and regular training work together to reduce risk and respond appropriately to concerns.
Reporting a concern
Concerns about a child should be reported promptly to the designated safeguarding lead or the Head of School. Immediate danger should be referred to the appropriate emergency authority.
Confidentiality
Safeguarding information is handled sensitively and shared only with people who need it to protect the child or meet a lawful responsibility.
